Lot's of monuments, memorials and one friend. This is Glen. He and Chris were roomates in college and he married my very good friend. Wish my very good friend could have come with him to D.C., next time.

This was my favorite of all the memorials. There is something so real about the statues and the faces that really captured so much emotion.

Mr. Jefferson's monument was so far away from the Mall. I complained the entire walk. 
Ride the metro to the very last stop, then take a very long bus ride through a semi sketchy Virginia neighboorhood and you'll arrive at Mount Vernon.
