D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S!
My FAVORITE Summer Finds
Check out these super cute ice cream cupcakes, courtesy of Martha Stewart. Maybe I need to have another party just to make these!
Every cook with an inner princess has to have one of these spatulas. Oh ya that's right, I have one!
Any one can do this. All you need is scrapbook paper, vases and double sided tape. Dress up any vase with minimal effort and cost but HUGE cuteness!
"Star light, star bright, I wish I may, I wish I might, have the wish I wish tonight." And that's one of everyone one of these! I found these pendants on Etsy. Just think how this could add some charm to any summer outfit!

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!

Total Dork!!!

The day starts out great. I get the kids up and fed and we get to the gym. I take Lukie and Anna to the play center and get in 45mins on the Treadmill. This is great because usually someone from the play center has to come get me because Lukie is crying. After the workout I go downstairs change into my swimsuit pick up the kids and head to the pool to meet Joy, Shannon and Megan. I'm feeling really good. Luke stayed in the play center, I worked out and now I'm hanging out at the pool with the kids. So there I go into the pool, swimming around playing with the kids then we get out and eat some lunch. The whole time this is going on I keep looking down at my swimsuit thinking that some thing is wrong. Can't quite figure it out but it's the wrong color and it kinda feels weird. HUM! Oh well just keep doing what I doing. Then finally I take a closer look and yup! that's right! I have it on INSIDE OUT!!! What a dork! Just then as I'm laughing at myself and pointing my mistake out to my friends Lukie gags on a grape and PUKES all over himself and my feet! Oh what a wonderful day. Really just another day in the life of a mom with two toddlers!

"Should I open another one?"
After two days Anna finally opened her Birthday presents. One of the highlights was the green froggy bank. She loved it because she always talks about her froggy. For example when she's being sassy to me I will tell her that it's not OK to talk to me that way and she will respond with "I wasn't talking to you, I was talking to my froggy!" Or when her diaper leaked the other night she ran into our room and said "I think my froggy peed in my bed!" Or sometimes I'll hear her talking to herself and I'll ask who she's talking too and she'll casually answer "oh just my froggy." So silly! Checkout Lukie getting in on the froggy action, he just kept kissing it. Each time she would open a gift she would say "wow" or "look at this" and then with out hesitation look at me and say "Should I open another one?" It was really the thrill of the open. It was a fun night spent with family!
Thanks mom for having us all over again. Thanks Charo for the yummy salad and Lupe for the pasta!
Moments to Remember
I can't even believe that my grandma is almost 83 years old. Check her out playing, feeding and dancing with Lukie. I can remember when I would spend the days with my grandma, usually it was watching her cook, going on walks to the market or park or watching her spanish soap operas. We always spent most of our time outside because she was always watering the grass, hosing down the drive way or walking me somewhere. I remember loving to walk to the Hostess Outlet to buy day old cherry pies and then eating them as we walked to the park. When I was younger I couldn't wait for summer because that meant that I could spend the night at my grandma's house. We only lived about 15 mins from her but I can still remember packing up my suitcase so that I could spent weeks at her house. It is a blessing to have her so close and to watch her interact with my children. I'm glad that my children are having the opotunity to grow up with her in their lives, like I did. I suppose seeing her play with Lukie tonight reminded me of the summer nights I spent with her.

A Journey to Neverland
The food and the decorations. Check out the fruit kabobs! Thanks Lupe for all that chopping and scooping and skewering! We also served Kettle chips and hot dogs. Again Thanks Lupe for the MILLER hot dogs!
During the movie I handed out these bags full of 'Pixie Power Food' really it was just a mixture of chocolate coated popcorn, M&M's, pretzel sticks, crasins and golden raisins. So cute and so yummy!
Here's Lukies chilling out watching the movie. He sat the through the entire movie without moving from that spot!
Party go-ers! I think we ended up having over 60 guests!
I have to give a special THANKS to Chris for being supportive of my 'extravagant' parties. To my aunt Lupe for all her help and ideas. I think she spent just as much time as I did planning and preparing for this party. To my aunt Lily who watched Anna and Luke so that I could set up for the party. To my aunt Charo, uncle Albert and cousin Melissa who help me set up on Saturday. To my Mom and Mike who worked really, really, really hard around the house and in the yard to make sure everything was perfect for the party. I couldn't have done this without the help of my family!!! I love you guys!
Thanks to everyone who came. Hope you had fun. See you in Febuary for Lukies 2nd birthday bash!

Family Pictures
A few weeks ago we took some family pictures and I am so excited to share just a few of them. I think Alyson the photographer did a great job. I really love taking family pictures to remind of us of moments in time. I always love to update the pictures on our walls with current photos. Mostly I love to see how our children grow and I love to capture their beautiful smiles.

Princess Party
On Anna's birthday we decided to invite the family over and celebrate with a Princess themed party.
I had fun making some cute favors and a pink and white cake.
Anna opened her own presents and even helped Napoleon open his. They shared the party because Napoleon turned two this month.
I just have to say the things parents do for their children. I know I go overboard with the parties. But really this year has been three too many. OK not really because I LOVE to host a party. So the story is that the night before Anna's actual birthday I stayed up until 2am cutting, pasting and creating the cutest banner, favors and decorations for a cute bird themed party for the family. Well when Anna woke up on her birthday and we wished her happy birthday her response was "Oh mommy today is my princess party, I love my princess party!" I couldn't disappoint my baby so I rushed around all morning to pull together a princess party. Oh the things I do for a party. I guess I'll just save my birdie party for another year!
