Reading Time

I had seen this idea of rain gutter for bookshelves all around the blog world. I thought "really, rain gutters?" But guess what, it works and they are awesome!Anna refers to this as the "Library"

We also put Luke's big boy bed up. Bummer is he can't sleep in it cause Livie is still sleeping in the crib. I'm running out of excuses as to why he can't sleep in his room. First it was because the bed wasn't made, then it was because his blankets needed to be washed, then it was cause he was coughing to much and would wake up Livie and well now I just don't know what I'm going to tell him tomorrow night.

Bed time

If only I hadn't been preoccupied with other things and put Livie to bed at 8pm this never would have happened. I should have know better when she was much too quiet.

Cereal Love

We are a family who loves cereal. So when it went on sale and I had coupons, I sent Chris out to do my dirty work. I only had him buy 12 boxes but when he came home he said "maybe I should have bought more."

Little Man Party

It's only fitting that I would have a "Little Man" Party for my Little Man. Mom and I hosted a combined family party for Luke and Andrew. I love these mustache lollipops. So cute!Pizza, salad and lot's of dessert. I always love when I buy something like this polka dot fabric from Ikea and use it over and over and over. Makes the purchase so worth it.Mom and I made pizza and Lupe made salad. Thanks to Brittany for the pizza recipes. They were so good and easy to make. My new FAV thing, Hot Chocolate on a Stick. Thanks blogger somewhere who posted this. Get it "milk mustache?" I think I'm so cleaver!Worst picture EVER! It came out so blurry.Of course the birthday boys.Hit gift of the night, inflatable jumbo ball. Get in and get rolled and tossed and spun. Hope my kids don't get brain damage from it.

Luke's Year

Well another year has passed and Luke turned four. It's has been a big year for him. He's finally mastered potty training. He insists on wearing his underwear backwards cause he says he likes to the big picture in front. Also a good thing he finally learned to pee in the toilet cause his diapers were starting to sag with all the pee they were being filled with. Case in point with this picture. He's just walking around with his diaper hanging out.He started preschool. Likes the toys but not always writing his name. Thanks to Miss Cindy he is getting much better and can make the L and the U.Luke can't get enough soda. He'd let me hook him up to IV soda drip if it was possible. He also only wants to eat chicken nuggets and apples. On occasion I can get him to eat some pizza. Let's hope he grows out of this phase!He is a little man of many faces.Above all he has awesome hair!

FOUR

He's four! He's four! Really? I just can't believe it!Time is going by so fast. It sounds cliche but when I think about how quickly Anna, Luke and Livie are growing up it just reminds me to slow down and not worry so much about the laundry and the dishes and the cleaning but just enjoy my babies! All Luke wanted this year was to go to Chuck-E-Cheese's (a.k.a. The Rat's House) for his birthday, so we let him invite a couple of friends for pizza and games.Luke and EllaLuke kill'in it at air hockey! Playing with his friend Tavian.So happy every time he scored.Chris and Andrew in a shoot off.
Of course we can't have a party without Anna bringing along a couple of friends.

Never Enough

This little chick hasn't been featured on this blog nearly enough.

Happiness...

Yesterday my friend P dropped of a Ho-Ho, Ding Dong, chocolate decadent sort of cake thing. I felt special. I waited until today to eat it because I had already had ice cream last night. That is will power! So today I took a bite and smiled. Pure happiness to indulge in a chocolate Ho-Ho, Ding Dong sort of cake thing. I guess if I'm coming back to the blogging world after a month of no posts it should be about chocolate and things that make me happy!

Snow Trip

We were so excited for our annual trip to Salt Lake City, Utah and Sun Valley, Idaho. We look forward to this trip all year and the kids are so excited when December finally rolls around. So many great moments to highlight.

OK now that I look through the pictures I'm realizing that I didn't take many pictures. Kinda lame on my part.
What we did do was visit with David, Sharilynn and the kids for several days. There is something about Utah and cousins that make my kids forget all about the TV and Wii. I love it! They just spent three days playing and laughing.
Then we headed to Sun Valley were we played, played and played!

Next stop Uncle Aarie and Aunt Emily. Dinner, Temple Square and a visit to their apartment for hot chocolate and scones.Lots of LOVE!Lot's of skiing and sledding.Anna was so brave this year. She decided that she wanted to try skiing all by herself. So we put on the skis and sent her up the ramp. She spent the next two days skiing that hill.Anna was trying to teach Livie how to make a snow ball.

Chris enjoyed ice skating just as much as the kids.On the last night of our Sun Valley vacation we went to the Lumiere Festival. We hung out with family and friends in the cold, cold, cold!
Anna had her book signed by the author who was at the festival.Huge sled carved out of snow.We were all so sad to leave. Do you notice the kids are all crying. OK there're not crying because we are leaving they are crying because they are tired and grumpy!Didn't make it home that day. We had to stay in Reno because of the snow. Chain guy had to take remove the chain I got stuck around the axle. Opps!
